Statues of some personalities of the Napoleonic era
The actors of the Napoleonic epic survive thanks to the traces they left and which have come down to us, which the historians do not fail to use: accounts and publications of the time; memoirs and later accounts; paintings, engravings and lithographs representing them; statues and other monuments erected in their memory; objects belonging to them; decorations or coats of arms granted to them; tombs where they rest...
It is statuary that we will focus on here, excluding the sculptures adorning the graves, which visitors will naturally find on the page "Burial places".
We will limit ourselves to the statues that we or our friends have photographed; we are aware that they represent only a small portion of the statuary relating to the Napoleonic period, and our future travels in France and Europe will allow us to enrich this page as they should.
