  1. 1800 : Victory of Hohenlinden by Moreau.

  1. 1804 : Declaration of War from Spain to England.
  2. 1808 : Surrender of Madrid. In Spain, the French decide abolition of the feudal rights and of the court the Inquisition, reduction of the number of monasteries, suppression of provincial customs.
  3. 1813 : Frankfurt Declaration, dated December 1, in which Allies say they do not make war to France but to Napoleon.

  2. 1806 : The Elector of Saxony signs peace in Poznan and joins the Confederation of the Rhine.

  1. 1813 : By the Valencay treaty, France recognizes that Ferdinand VII is the King of Spain.

  1. 1806 : Birth of Charles Leon, the illegitimate son of Napoleon and Eleanor Denuelle de la Plaigne, a maid of honor of Caroline Murat.
  2. 1807 : First address to the German nation from Fichte. Dispute between Napoleon and his brother Lucien, who refuses to divorce.
  3. 1812 : Passage of the Niemen by the survivors of the Grand Army.
